Its funny, just last night, i was watching Scrapheap challenge (or whatever its called, can't remember the exact name) on TV, this UK based program on Discovery where two contesting groups are given one simple mandate: typically something like putting together, within a limited period of time, an improvised vehicle that can 'drive' them from point A to point B, from a heap of scrap, and they're let loose in a scrapyard. I was thinking, this program is a good example of why the so called first world nations are where they are today. Why didn't we think of Scrapheap challenge ? We've plenty of scrap back home :-P. Anyways, and then i read the latest entry in your blog today about 'Desis' abroad. I wonder if its just a coincidence or one of those mystic signs from providence...Sumahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18236139258641144675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18921591.post-73588649864213983782007-02-24T11:47:00.000+01:002007-02-24T11:47:00.000+01:00Very insightful indeed! :DVery insightful indeed! :DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18921591.post-69740167168684312007-02-11T19:22:00.000+01:002007-02-11T19:22:00.000+01:00well said!well said!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18921591.post-13302920375896134432007-02-03T12:40:00.000+01:002007-02-03T12:40:00.000+01:00love ur posts sam ... forgot how good u wr at this...love ur posts sam ... forgot how good u wr at this ... rbbr the amazing times we had putting theory to practice during conb and marketing papers ... tht was life!! :Dunpredictablehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04529471646372395784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18921591.post-1163266764518794372006-11-11T18:39:00.000+01:002006-11-11T18:39:00.000+01:00Hi Harish,Thanks for reading and commenting! You are right- it could do with a positive feel in terms of a remedial approach- ill try my best to think in that direction!

Though to be frank, some of these things are attitude- related. I dont know how we can change overnight.

Maybe we dont realize it, and the media/ trend-setters made us realize it, we could improve. I think there prolly has to be a large role to be played by modern-day thought leaders like Narayan Murthy, Amartya Sen and Arundhati Roy- I wish they would exert their influence more on a society fixated by film stars- in fact the worst possible influences we could ever have.Atticushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17618329083722223553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18921591.post-1163250856168407232006-11-11T14:14:00.000+01:002006-11-11T14:14:00.000+01:00Very well written...i totally agree with all the p...Very well written...i totally agree with all the points mentioned...personally i wouldve loved to read ur thoughts on how u think each of those points can be remedied...it wudve not only given ur readers a peek into your ideas but also given the blog a positive feel...see if u can give us a blog in that direction....keep blogging...u r awesomeHarishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03201986292670484157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18921591.post-1163104759835504912006-11-09T21:39:00.000+01:002006-11-09T21:39:00.000+01:00Its your charm- leaves me fumbling for thoughts an...Its your charm- leaves me fumbling for thoughts and bereft of ideas!

Thanks :)Atticushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17618329083722223553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18921591.post-1163026232086099182006-11-08T23:50:00.000+01:002006-11-08T23:50:00.000+01:00Why do you keep such thoughts hidden when we talk?...Why do you keep such thoughts hidden when we talk?
Beautiful post!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
